Studies show the benefits of yoga (from your very first class!) include improved brain function, lower stress levels and increased flexibility. The benefits over time include: lower blood pressure, improved lung capacity, reduced chronic back pain, steady blood sugar levels, improved sense of balance, healthy weight and a lower risk of heart disease.
From a mindset perspective, it also helps to gain greater strength, confidence and acceptance in life. By focusing on the breath through movement, yoga offers a place to find peace, challenge and fun.
I found yoga when I was working in a corporate job and needed a space to breathe, relax and build my own strength and resilience, and it continues to amaze me with how beneficial it is for all areas of my life.
I use a fusion of styles - Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Restorative, Forrest as well as mindfulness and breathing techniques with a focus of helping people connect their mind and body to build emotional resilience and self-belief.
Currently I teach in YogaHub, Community Halls and in Schools, as well as private classes and retreats.
